Get to know Ashley!

I am a certified Peer Recovery Peer Supervisor (PRPS), am a member of the Arkansas Peer Advisory Committee (APAC), the Arkansas Peer Ethics Review Committee (APERC) and I serve as the Chairwoman of the NWA Continuum of Care Board of Directors. I have a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and am a Benton County Drug Court Alumni.

I am a person with sustainable, long-term recovery from substance use and mental health disorders and I have a strong desire to help others achieve the same goal. I know firsthand the struggles people face in early recovery and have made it my life’s passion to help ignite hope, and end the stigma that comes with substance use disorders.

I was the Executive Director of Positive Energy Affecting Recovering Lives (PEARL). During the three years I was with PEARL the agency grew from a staff of 1 to a staff of 6. I secured over $1.5 million dollars in state and federal grant funding and opened the first and only recovery community organizations (RCO) in the Northwest Arkansas region. I developed and implemented PEARL's peer programs and housing program. I was able to collaborate with the judicial system stakeholders to provide peer support services to specialty court participants in Benton and Madison County, AR.

I worked for New Directions Behavioral Health (Lucet) as a Peer Support Specialist for 4 years, and have previously worked for Ozark Guidance Center (Arisa Health) and Quapaw House (Decision Point) as a counselor in training (CIT). My work history includes intensive case management for the Arkansas Transitional Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, I was a Workforce Specialist with the Department of Workforce services and held positions with Arkansas Community Corrections and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office. 

I have a passion for peer support, but more than that I have a passion to keep the authentic spirit of peer support alive in our profession. As a State Peer Supervisor, it is my duty to ensure the safety of our peer specialist and authenticity of the profession.
